You can payout in Nigerian Naira (NGN), Kenyan Shillings (KES), and Ugandan Shillings (UGX), and we’re looking to expand to other countries and accept more African currencies.
What payment options are available to process transactions?
Klasha aims to provide a seamless payment experience for merchants and their customers, which is why we are working tirelessly to provide various payment methods for merchants to receive payments.

How long does a transfer take?
Transactions are usually completed within 1-4 business days.
Note: Delays may occur if the country/bank you are sending to is observing a national holiday. We/banks may also carry out compliance checks; and extra verifications, which may require us to request more information about the merchant or beneficiary, which could increase the estimated timelines.
What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can send?
The minimum and maximum amounts are $500 and $50,000, respectively. However, you can make multiple transactions.
What if I want to transfer over the $50,000 limit?
If you wish to exceed the $50,000 transaction limit, please email email@example.com stating the amount you want to transfer. Please note that this may require further due diligence before accepting the transaction limit increase.
When will I receive Telex?
You will receive the transaction receipt for your transaction as soon as payment is successful. You can also monitor the transaction on your dashboard under the ‘Transactions’ tab on the dashboard.
What happens if a payment fails?
Usually, payments go through. If payment fails, we will refund you the exact amount you paid back into your preferred bank account.
What is the transaction fee and what are the charges for sending money abroad?
The transaction fees depend on the amount being transferred. You can check the dashboard for details on this.
What are the exchange rates for KlashaWire?
The exchange rate varies daily. Feel free to check it under the ‘Exchange rates’ tab on your Dashboard.
How does the Klasha Wallet for KlashaWire payment options work?
This option is available to businesses that have money in their mobile wallet.
To pay with Klasha Wallet, fill in your wallet email address and phone number. Then, click ‘Pay with Klasha’. The funds will be deducted from the money in your Klasha app.
How does the bank transfer payment option work?
The bank transfer option provides a unique bank account number generated for one-time use, and you must pay into the account within 30 minutes of generating one.
To use this option, you must fill in your name, email address, and phone number. Upon clicking ‘Pay with Klasha’, your one-time account details will be generated. Pay the exact amount seen on your screen into the account and click ‘I have transferred’ once done. The system will authenticate the transaction and notify you once successful.
How does the ‘Pay with card’ option work?
To make a seamless transfer with the ‘Pay with card’ option, enter your credit card details (card number, expiration date, and CVV) and follow the prompts to authenticate the transfer.
Is using KlashaWire safe and secure?
Our services are secure, and we strive to make them that way. We are currently PCI DSS, and ISO270001 certified, ensuring maximum security in payment transfers.
What do I put in the payment description?
You’re required to provide a brief description of what the payment is intended for. e.g. Payment for supply of 100 handbags.
What do I upload in the invoice section?
You can upload any document (e.g invoice from suppliers, school fees invoice, or others) that will facilitate fast transaction processing. It’s helpful for the bank to process the transfer and the intended recipient to know why the transfer is being made.
If the invoice information is insufficient, additional information may be required before making a wire transfer to the intended beneficiary.
Can KlashaWire funds be wired quicker than the 1-4 business/working days?
At this time, no. However, we are currently working on making the payment transfer faster.
